Tyler County is located just below the northern panhandle of West Virginia. Tyler County was named after John Tyler Sr., father of the 10th President of the United States of America John Tyler. With an approximate population of 9,200 people and a population density of approximately 19 people per square mile, Tyler County WV is a rural community. Located in the county seat of Middlebourne, West Virginia, the Tyler County Courthouse is a registered National Historic Landmark.
